Deep South recognizes that safety is the single most important function we perform each and every day. Safety is more than a statement, it has to be an attitude.

Performance measurement systems
While water blasting and vacuum services are inherently dangerous tasks, we continue to take steps to improve our focus on the "safety attitude" thereby improving safety records with regards to OSHA recordable and lost time accidents.

Deep South's field safety program includes supervision, procedures, testing, monitoring, and auditing
Our health and safety process consists of several systems that allow us to control our work sites to ensure that unsafe acts and conditions are minimized. These systems include job-specific health and safety plans; daily toolbox safety meetings; weekly safety meetings; safety observer program; periodic audits done by on-site supervisors, off-site managers and safety staff, task-specific job analysis and safety improvement branch meetings which meet, at a minimum, on a monthly basis.

Deep South employees attend safety training programs
All Deep South associates are given various training consisting of orientation to basic health and safety requirements for hydro blasting and vacuum operation, haz-com, confined space entry, respirator certification, lock out/tag out, and hands-on operational skills training. Thereafter, associates must attend annual recertification of basic health and safety requirements.
